The Reception Staff

  Melanie, Receptionist.
Melanie has been with us since she was 16 years old. She has worked in a variety of roles within the practice but since the birth of her 2 children she has taken on the role of receptionist. She has completed a Btec in Client and Reception Care. At home she lives with Ted the lively collie cross, Puzzle the silver tabby cat and Simon the tortoise. She has a special interest in tortoise husbandry and care.

Lyn, Receptionist.
Lyn started with us in 2006. She came via The Dogs Trust rehoming centre in west calder where she was a receptionist for 8 years. At the Dogs Trust Lyn was awarded a certificate for working above and beyond the call of duty when she rescued an abandoned dog that was left to fend for itself in a forrest. She was flown down to London for the award ceremony and had to give a short speech.
After a short stint woking as an account manager for a well known cosmetic company in Harvey Nicholls Lyn decided that she missed animals too much and jumped at the chance to move back to Fife and work for us. At home she lives with 4 dogs: Digger, Wesley, Eddie and Harry, 2 tortoises: Grubb and Gromit and one iguana: Bad Basil!
Since starting Lyn has completed a veterinary terminology course and is currently undertaking a veterinary receptionist certificate.
