Weight Clinic

Just as in human medicine, obesity is a growing problem in our pets. Modern pet diets and a lack of awareness and exercise seriously contribute to this problem.
 
Joint, liver, urinary, cardiac and skin conditions are all strongly linked to obesity, as is diabetes – an increasingly common condition in dogs and cats.

At Ryan and Calder we are sensitive to the fact that pet owners are often unaware of how to treat and prevent obesity in pets. We strongly support owners who take weight control seriously and as such offer a personalised weight clinic with one of our nursing team who will formulate a weight loss programme tailored to your pet. Follow-up appointments will be arranged to monitor your pet's progress, support owners (as those big eyes looking at you can be hard to resist!) and implement maintenance diets once targert weights are achieved.
